Job description

Analysis of financial statements and management accounts

  • Assess financial performance of applicants and guarantor entities by analyzing income statements, balance sheets, and consolidating information where applicable.

Analysis of VAT returns and book debts

  • Review VAT returns and analyze book debts.

Market research and risk assessment

  • Research market trends, conduct qualitative reviews, corporate ratings, and determine repayment affordability.

Client background and credit analysis

  • Gather information on clients’ backgrounds, business nature, locations, management, customers, and suppliers.
  • Request credit reports, bank reports, and security confirmations for trade clients.
  • Perform SWOT analysis to identify client risks and potential hazards.
  • Summarize client needs and comments on utilization.

Security and financial review

  • Prepare and update manual exposure reports, ensuring securities are loaded, financials are updated in the system, and valuations are current.
  • Follow up on arrears if applicable.

Sensitivity analysis and legal review

  • Provide sensitivity analysis for each application.
  • Prepare information sheets and request legal reviews.

Risk identification and reporting

  • Identify risks related to clients and industries, and suggest mitigating factors.
  • Respond to queries from credit committees, BOD, and management.
  • Prepare executive summaries for board submissions.
  • Incorporate value-added, innovative, and risk assessments into reports.

Analysis of Book Debts

  • Conduct monthly analysis of book debts for clients with security cessions.
  • Determine security amounts and update the system.
  • Prepare security value schedules and risk ratings.
  • Respond to MCC queries.

Trade Finance Reviews

  • Maintain and update trade review lists, schedules, and outstanding information for all facilities.
  • Prepare and follow up on trade review letters requesting financial information.

General responsibilities

  • Follow up on financial information requests from clients.
  • Prepare annual corporate property reviews and submit to credit.
