Credit Analyst Sandton

Our client is looking for an experienced Credit Data Analyst who:

1. has strong data analytics capabilities,
2. pays attention to detail,
3. delivers work of a high quality,
4. can process, manipulate, and transform large volumes of data (1 million+),
5. performs extensive analysis on data and produces summary results in a visual format to ultimately tell a story using data.

The successful individual needs to be a team player who works alongside others to identify and contribute to initiatives leading to company success.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Measure and manage the performance across multiple credit products.
2. Evaluate and improve business decisions, substantiated by data-driven analyses.
3. Create credit strategies.
4. Run and improve forecasting simulations.
5. Report back to management around the credit risk status of the business.

Computer Literacy

1. Advanced Excel (essential)
2. Excel VBA (preferential) / Python (preferential) / R (preferential)

Travel: International travel may be required from time to time.

Desired Experience & Qualification

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

1. Mathematical / statistical background e.g. B.Sc. Mathematics / Statistics / Actuarial Science / Engineering degree.
2. 5+ years in data analysis / modelling (not only using Excel but other tools including SQL / SAS).
3. Ability to work with millions of rows.
