Job summary

JVR Software in Gauteng is seeking a Credit Risk Analyst to gather and analyse financial information from loan applicants, evaluate creditworthiness of individuals and entities, and perform comprehensive risk assessments using market and industry data.

• Matric certificate or equivalent.
• Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Credit Risk, or related field.
• 3–5 years’ experience in a similar credit or financial risk role.
• Advanced computer literacy, with strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Valid Code 8 driver’s licence.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

• Make informed recommendations regarding the approval, adjustment, extension, increase, or closure of credit facilities.
• Prepare and present detailed credit assessment reports and recommendations.
• Conduct quality assurance reviews to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
• Stay informed of market trends and developments that may impact credit risk.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with collateral requirements and financial covenants.
• Ensure that all financing transactions are concluded in accordance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Analyse and verify financial and supporting data to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Contribute to ongoing review and improvement of credit rating criteria and risk assessment processes.
• Communicate credit decisions, policies, and requirements clearly to internal stakeholders and credit applicants.
• Oversee and/or perform the preparation, review, and verification of all relevant credit and supporting documentation.

Minimum Requirements

• A Degree or equivalent qualification in Business, Accounting, Finance, Credit Risk, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in a similar credit or financial risk role.
• Advanced computer literacy, with strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
