Role Purpose

The Credit Analyst provides analysis and recommendations on potential credit investments to support credit portfolio management.

Requirements

• Qualifications: Honours degree in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, or Statistics. CFA or MCom in Finance or Risk Management (advantage).
• Experience: 6+ years relevant experience in banking or asset management. Practical experience with credit market securities, including structured securities. Financial statement analysis. Advanced Excel skills. Strong research, stakeholder management, analytical, and influencing skills.

Responsibilities and Work Outputs

• Perform credit research across sectors and understand drivers of performance.
• Drive efficiencies in research, especially through quantitative credit risk models.
• Stay updated on regulatory and market developments.
• Conduct detailed counterparty analysis and build financial models.
• Pre-screen investment opportunities and share recommendations.
• Review legal documentation and monitor debt investments.
• Develop relationships with stakeholders and maintain the credit watch list.
• Build and evaluate credit risk models and support ESG processes.
• Generate reports, engage with management, and contribute to client service excellence.
