Placements24 in Centurion is seeking a skilled Video Editor to transform raw footage into engaging narratives. You will assemble footage, add music and sound effects, graphics, and color grade to deliver polished final products for multiple media channels.

The ideal candidate has a proven editing track record, strong storytelling sense, and the ability to manage several projects in a fast-paced studio environment. Centurion-based, on-site role with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a video editor with a strong portfolio.
• Proficiency in non-linear editors: Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro or DaVinci Resolve.
• Understanding of video production workflows, formats, codecs.
• Experience with motion graphics is a plus.
• Excellent eye for detail, pacing, and storytelling.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Edit raw video footage into engaging and coherent narratives according to project briefs.
• Select appropriate music, sound effects, and voiceovers to enhance the emotional impact and clarity of videos.
• Incorporate graphics, titles, and lower thirds, ensuring brand consistency and visual appeal.
• Perform color correction and grading to achieve a professional and consistent look across all footage.
• Collaborate with directors and producers to understand project goals and incorporate feedback effectively.
• Manage and organize project files, ensuring efficient workflow and timely delivery of final edits.
