About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and creative Video Editor & Post-Production Specialist to join their production team in Randburg. You will be responsible for transforming raw footage into polished, engaging video content for a variety of applications, including marketing, corporate communications, and digital media. This role requires a keen eye for detail, a strong sense of narrative, and proficiency in industry-standard editing software. You will collaborate closely with directors and producers to bring creative visions to life, ensuring high-quality output that meets project deadlines and objectives, contributing to a collaborative and innovative studio environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit video footage to create compelling narratives, incorporating graphics, music, and sound effects.
• Perform color correction, grading, and audio mixing to ensure a professional and cohesive final product.
• Collaborate with the creative team to understand project requirements and deliver video content that aligns with brand messaging and objectives.
• Manage and organize video assets, project files, and libraries efficiently.
• Stay updated on the latest video editing techniques, software, and post-production trends.
• Troubleshoot technical issues related to video editing and post-production workflows.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Video Editor or in a similar post-production role, with a strong portfolio of work.
• Proficiency in non-linear editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
• Experience with motion graphics software (e.g., Adobe After Effects) is a plus.
• Solid understanding of video formats, codecs, and post-production workflows.
• Excellent storytelling abilities and a strong visual aesthetic.
