Job summary

Konecranes Durban is seeking a skilled field service technician to perform preventive maintenance, inspections and repairs on cranes and hoists at customer sites, ensuring safety features function correctly. You will document findings, provide corrective recommendations, and liaise with customers to facilitate quotations and service actions, while maintaining digital service records and SHEQ standards.

The role requires Grade 12, electrical trade, LMI accreditation and at least 5 years of field

Qualifications

• Grade 12 (NQF level 4).
• Electrical trade qualification where required.
• Accreditation as LMI Inspector where required.
• 5 years field service experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, maintenance and repairs on cranes and hoists at varied customer locations, as directed.
• Document findings and provide corrective recommendations with safety considerations.
• Prepare service reports and quotations and maintain digital records.
• Communicate with customers to ensure safety and compliance during service.
• Maintain equipment and vehicle in safe working order and follow safety rules.
