Job description

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Courier Operations Supervisor to join our dynamic team in the Cato Ridge Service Centre.

Job Purpose

Responsible for managing courier teams, optimizing delivery routes, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction, and maintaining operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of courier staff including scheduling, route planning, and performance management.
  • Monitor daily delivery operations to ensure packages are delivered on time and in good condition.
  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of delivery vehicles and related equipment.
  • Conduct training sessions for new hires and provide ongoing coaching to courier personnel.
  • Implement and maintain standard operating procedures to improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Resolve delivery issues or customer complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as delivery times, package accuracy, and team productivity.
  • Collaborate with other departments such as customer service, warehouse, and logistics for smooth operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of shipments, incidents, and employee performance.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and transportation regulations.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience in courier, logistics, or transportation operations (2+ years in a supervisory role preferred).
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Problem-solving skills with a customer-focused mindset.
  • Proficient in route planning software and delivery tracking systems.
  • Working knowledge of local traffic laws and transportation regulations.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certifications or relevant education is a plus.
  • Valid driver’s license

Working Conditions:

  • May involve shift work, weekends, and holidays based on operational needs.
  • Fast-paced, on-the-ground role with optional travel within delivery areas.
