Job Purpose:
The Courier Hub Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the courier hub, ensuring efficient handling, sorting, and dispatching of packages. The role ensures timely delivery, adherence to quality and safety standards, cost control, and staff performance management to meet business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Management
- Oversee all inbound and outbound logistics activities within the hub.
- Ensure the accurate sorting, scanning, and dispatching of parcels.
- Maintain real-time visibility of parcel movements through tracking systems.
- Implement and maintain operational procedures and standards.
Team Leadership & Supervision
- Manage a team of supervisors, couriers, warehouse staff, and admin personnel.
- Conduct regular staff performance reviews and provide training as required.
- Develop shift schedules to ensure coverage and workload balancing.
Customer Service
- Resolve customer issues relating to delivery delays, lost packages, or complaints.
- Ensure high service level agreements (SLAs) are consistently met.
Health & Safety Compliance
- Ensure all operations comply with health and safety legislation.
- Conduct regular audits and risk assessments.
- Enforce safe handling and storage procedures.
Cost Control & Efficiency
- Monitor and control hub operational costs.
- Identify process improvements and implement cost-saving initiatives.
Reporting & Communication
- Generate daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
- Communicate effectively with other hubs, central dispatch, and senior management.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum of a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- 3–5 years of experience in logistics, courier, or warehouse management
- Proven experience managing teams in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with route optimization and delivery management systems is an advantage
