Job summary

Takealot Fulfilment Solutions (TFS) is seeking an experienced courier services manager to lead service delivery and SLA compliance. You will coordinate with courier providers, plan distribution operations, and maintain SOPs while ensuring data integrity and strong client relationships.

This role requires logistics experience, strong numerical skills, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced e-commerce environment.

Qualifications

• Post Matric Qualification in logistics or relevant.
• At least 3 years in a distribution and 3PL environment.
• Proficiency in relevant software applications and packages; computer literacy required.

Responsibilities

• Manage services provided by courier service providers, ensuring service levels are met.
• Plan, schedule, assign, inspect, record and organise distribution operations as per agreed customer SLA’s.
• Maintain SOPs for the department, review and implement improvements.
• Daily manage all assigned deliveries and liaise with clients until issues are resolved.
• Ensure data integrity of information across courier and company systems.

Purpose of the role: Manage services and relationships with the assigned courierservice providers. Adhere to SLA’s to ensure that servicedelivery is in accordance with customer expectations.

This position reports to the Courier Service Manager

Your responsibilities can include:

• Manage services provided by courier service providers,ensuring service levels are met.
• Plan, schedule, assign, inspect, record and organisedistribution operations as per agreed customer SLA’s
• Maintain Standard Operating Procedures for thedepartment, ensuring regular reviews of SOPs, andidentify areas where SOP’s can be improved andimplement changes accordingly
• Daily manage all assigned deliveries and highlightproblems to clients and follow through until resolved.
• Daily manage interfaces to ensure alignment betweencourier systems and company systems ensuring dataintegrity of information used.
• Report, analyze, record and measure all failed deliveriesand problem parcels to identify trends and root causes.
• Maintaining good relationships and manage services ofservice providers and giving formally measuredfeedback
• Examine claims for loss or damage and send tomanager for approval of processing.
• Reconciling of transport account to the agreed monthlyrates and ensure that requirements have been met,andrecommend payment amount to Courier Manager.
• Continuously seeking innovative courier solutions for ourclients to provide a more encompassed service to ourclients.

Qualifications and experience:

• Post Matric Qualification in logistics or relevant
• At least 3 years in a distribution and 3PL environment
• Proficiency in relevant software applications and packagesComputer Literacy Prior of knowledge & keeping abreast oftransport legislative requirements
