Job description

M24 Logistics, a division of the Takealot Group, is seeking a dedicated and customer-focused individual to join our Cape Town team as a Courier Controller. We are a renowned e-commerce logistics partner specialising in B2B and B2C warehousing and fulfilment solutions for the local and African markets.

This position will report to the Courier Service Manager: M24 Logistics.

Role overview

In this role, you will manage services and relationships with the assigned courier service providers. Adhere to SLA’s to ensure that service delivery aligns with customer expectations.

Requirements for the role:
  • Post Matric Qualification in logistics or relevant field
  • At least 3 years in a distribution and 3PL environment
Your responsibilities will include:
  • Manage services provided by courier service providers, ensuring service levels are met.
  • Plan, schedule, assign, inspect, record, and organise distribution operations as per agreed customer SLA’s.
  • Maintain Standard Operating Procedures for the department, review regularly, and implement improvements.
  • Manage daily deliveries, highlight issues, and follow through until resolved.
  • Ensure data integrity by aligning courier and company systems.
  • Report, analyse, and record failed deliveries and problem parcels to identify trends.
  • Maintain good relationships with service providers and provide formal feedback.
  • Examine claims for loss or damage and process with approval.
  • Reconcile transport accounts with agreed rates and recommend payments.
  • Seek innovative courier solutions to enhance service offerings.

  • Attention to detail: High accuracy to prevent errors and delays.
  • Critical thinking: Assess situations and resolve issues efficiently.
