Job Description :

Purpose of the Job: The Sales Development Manager will be a critical execution-focused role at the heart of the Commercial function. This role is responsible for driving the implementation and adoption of global sales strategies, processes, and tools within South Africa. Sales Development will own the governance of these global programs at the country level, ensuring they are effectively localized and contribute to achieving our Sales objectives. This role demands process adherence, optimizing sales resources, providing actionable insights, and effectively managing sales incentives and target setting.

Execution of Commercial & Sales Development Strategy:

  1. Drive the implementation of Aramex's global commercial roadmap, including CRM deployment, training programs, and sales methodologies.
  2. Govern adherence to global sales development frameworks including budgeting processes, incentive schemes, and commercial planning cycles.
  3. Ensure full adoption and effective utilization of CRM, supporting sales teams in embedding CRM best practices through ongoing support, training, and reinforcement.
  4. Utilize regional and global sales performance dashboards, reporting tools, and CRM analytics to monitor sales performance, identify key trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  5. Support the roll-out of CRM enhancements and ensure that sales teams leverage available tools for pipeline management, forecasting, and sales activities.
  6. Ensure data integrity, user adoption, and alignment with global CRM standards.
  7. Support the execution of commercial performance reviews, identifying insights and recommending corrective actions.
  8. Act as the regional liaison between Global/Regional Sales Development and the country, ensuring alignment with global standards while addressing local market needs.
  9. Support training and capability-building initiatives to enhance sales teams' effectiveness in using CRM tools and analytics.

Job Requirements:

  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in business, economics, finance, engineering, or a related field.
  2. Experience: 2-5 years in Business Improvement and Efficiency, or Commercial Excellence, Commercial Operations, preferably within a national role.
  3. Technical experience, with a strong understanding of CRM governance and adoption strategies.
  4. Proficiency in PowerPoint for executive reporting and Excel for commercial analysis.
  5. Experience with budgeting, incentive planning, and forecasting methodologies.
  6. Exposure and use of data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) is mandatory.
