Engages with government officials and key policy influencers to build a supportive environment for growth and transformation regionally. Customer Value Creation - Ensures that team conducts due diligence to understand customers' priorities and strategies and connect them to Microsoft solutions. Plans programs appropriately. Proactively identifies gaps and collaborates with stakeholders to drive new workloads by communicating financial value to the customer, collaborating with the sales team and driving new workloads. Leverages and socializes their network and industry experience to connect customers with ideas, people, and resources to support new customer opportunities. Engages with executives and coaches teams to leverage broader Microsoft organization to better understand customers. Guides their team to leverage existing customer relationships in other accounts to bridge knowledge gaps and promote experience and value with Microsoft solutions with other customers. Uses digital tools and technology to conduct research and engage customers. Builds and leads strategic conversations on business and market knowledge between teams, partners, customer businesses, and Information Technology objectives. Leads Microsoft centric operations and cadences to align with customers as needed. Acts as a go-to resource for customer success. Delivering Business Results - Serves as an owner responsible for resource optimization of key investments to ensure the execution and landing of the plans. Manages key points of contact with internal teams (e.g., Finance, Marketing, Engineering, Field Sales). Manages and cultivates relationships with senior internal leaders (e.g., General Manager level, Corporate Vice President, Executive Vice President, Chief Executive Officer). Acts as a senior advisor to senior leadership as a domain expert within Microsoft, leveraging deep technical/product/sales and business knowledge, market awareness, and subject matter expertise to inform strategic sales decisions. Oversees career mentorship and ensures opportunities for less experienced team members to develop business partner relationships. Identifies compelling projects and positions the team to carry them out. Cultivates a strong culture of compliance that exemplifies commitment to doing business with integrity and transparency in a way that develops trust with our customers, partners, and suppliers. Drives cross-organizational alignment on a strategic plan and collaborates with key senior leaders who are stakeholders and provides leadership for what gets shipped (e.g., drives the actual plan, lands overall strategy, drives alignment to that strategy, and helps execute the plan). Holds team and self-accountable to deliver core business measurements including pipeline, forecast, revenue, scorecard, profit and loss, and blueprint. Executes balanced area growth plans across segments and channels, ensuring quarterly and annual accountability for growth and business results. Business and Sales Operations Leadership - Defines Business and Sales Operations capabilities, strategies, and objectives to credibly lead governance for the Area/Subsidiary to drive a balance in short term results with longer-term market momentum, including driving focus on winning new audiences to compete effectively, and delivering true insights for leaders, managers, and sellers. Communicates, socializes, and aligns business and sales growth opportunities throughout the planning process, and approves plans for improvement to key senior stakeholders across the organization. Leads teams to identify opportunities to drive new digitalization solutions based on customer strategies, and discusses customer needs and solutions based on customer insights. Promotes and oversees effective leadership strategies to teams for engaging customers on their journey to deliver sales insight and revenue. Utilizes Microsoft organizational knowledge to synthesize information and connect the dots to drive opportunities in the area of accountability (e.g., anticipating customer needs, understanding which teams will need to be mobilized) and across other areas. Leverages subject matter expertise to direct and influence engagements between internal and external senior decision-makers on long-term business planning, the development of scalable strategic plans, and anticipating customer trends and needs. Advises on defining and setting strategy for how organization functions will differentiate Microsoft from competition. Maximizes the efficiency and productivity of internal operations including business rhythms, creating clear roles and responsibilities, readiness, application of internal tools and Microsoft Power BI usage, alignment with blueprint, account planning, and all Fast Start activities. Culture and Leadership at Scale - Improves existing initiatives and capabilities needed to drive success within the scope of accountability and actively works to develop/mentor/coach talent internally or develop plans to attract needed talent to Microsoft. Champions and activates diversity and inclusion (D&I) plan, inclusion throughout talent process, and diversity recruiting strategy. Builds and grows healthy teams through talent management, diversity and inclusion, coaching, and career development. Defines long-term strategies aimed at change and cultural transformation within the area of accountability as a coach, mentor, or program leader. Serves as Microsoft advocate to connect with government, customer, and partner. Scales organizational capability, actively drives and operationalizes change to meet the dynamic needs of customers, partners, and ecosystem. Promotes intentional talent management strategy and champions a culture of customer-centricity, accountability, collaboration, and achieving big bold goals. Leads and drives as a role model the external agenda of all Specialist sellers to build and influence the market. Oversees collaboration efforts with other teams and organizations to determine the health of the co-selling process within the region and address partner capacity and capability needs. Represents the company externally and positions oneself as Microsoft advocate with local partners, influencers, and national leaders in support of the company’s strategy. Ensures co-located employees develop a sense of belonging through internal events and communications. Supports local business performance by removing blockers related to local ecosystem and sharing market intelligence.
