Country Manager

Job Summary : We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Country Manager Renewables to lead our operations in South Africa.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing business strategies, managing day-to-day operations, and driving the growth of our renewable energy projects in the region.

The Country Manager will work closely with the Regional Director and senior management team to ensure the achievement of business objectives and compliance with local regulations.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Develop and execute the country's strategic plan in alignment with the overall corporate strategy.
2. Oversee all aspects of the company's operations in South Africa, including project management, business development, and financial performance.
3. Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the renewable energy sector.
4. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, industry partners, and clients.
5. Ensure compliance with all local laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
6. Lead and mentor a team of professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
7. Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify potential risks and opportunities.
8. Prepare and present regular reports on the country's performance to the Regional Director and senior management team.
9. Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and meetings.

Qualifications :

1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
2. A Master's degree is preferred.
3. Minimum of 10 years of experience in the renewable energy industry, with at least 5 years in a senior management role.
4. Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale projects and driving business growth.
5. Strong understanding of the South African energy market and regulatory environment.
6. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
7. Ability to work independently and make informed decisions in a fast-paced environment.
8. Fluent in English; proficiency in additional languages is an asset.
