Job description

As a Counter Storeman - electrical, reporting to the Group Leader in the Assembly Department, you will fulfill the necessary requirements within the department to meet the company’s objectives.

Key Job Functions
  1. Receiving goods from stores and placing them safely until dispatched to the production line.
  2. Issuing and retrieving electrical materials to and from production staff.
  3. Responsible for correct labeling and placement of electrical materials within the store.
  4. Ensure all locations are labeled correctly.
  5. Maintain electrical material issuing and retrieving logs.
  6. Handle administration and capture allocations between yourself and the store stock controller.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Minimum: NQF Level 2 (Grade 10).
  • Internal team members: NQF Level 2 (Grade 10) and/or R&C competency certificate.
  • Ideally: NQF Level 4 (Grade 12) or N3 Electrical qualification.
  • Experience in a related field such as store control.
  • Experience working with, understanding, and receiving/dispatching electrical materials.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent timekeeping and attendance records.
  • Able to work weekends and overtime.
  • Thorough understanding of the company's quality statement.
  • Strong attention to detail and process-driven.
  • Ability to work under pressure and independently.
