Job description

Leading manufacturer based in Hermanstad, Pretoria, requires a Counter Sales Clerk / Receptionist.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting customers at the sales counter and performing reception duties.
  • Selling the company's products and purchasing required products for customers.
  • Providing excellent customer service, handling payments, and managing daily cash-ups.
  • Preparing weekly and monthly sales reports and assisting with banking procedures.
  • Processing orders, loading buyouts, and ensuring data accuracy in the system.
  • Filing paperwork and performing general office duties as directed by the Branch Manager.
  • Following up on overdue orders, invoicing, and liaising with stores for urgent deliveries.
  • Supporting stock-takes and assisting sales staff as needed.
  • Ensuring correct pricing and adherence to work procedures and safety protocols.
  • Reporting incidents and being adaptable to changes.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Grade 12 education.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a retail or client-based industry is advantageous.
