Cost and Management Accountant

Job Description

1. Creating and maintaining the plants costing module for finished goods and components
2. Verification and updating of raw materials, spares and consumables pricing in SAP
3. Verification of bill of materials and adhoc projects required by plant management on BOM's
4. Standard and overhead cost roll ups for new and existing items across all branch plants
5. Completion of accounting procedures
6. Compiling of monthly journal entries to be reviewed by Financial Manager
7. Preparation of monthly GL reconciliations for Financial Manager to review
8. Participate in capital projects and help assist capital evaluations and undertake monitoring and forecasting during the year
9. Communication of stock take variances across locations as provided by logistics department post stock takes to Plant Management and Financial Manager
10. Assisting with yearend process as well as with internal and external audits

Qualifications

1. Matriculation
2. BCom degree in Accounting or Equivalent
3. CIMA or CIS Certificate

Skills

1. 3-5 years' experience in a similar role preferably in the manufacturing industry
2. Technically sound with proven abilities in capex modelling, costing, budget process, management, accounting and reporting
3. Ability to accurately prepare daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports
4. Valid driver's licence and own transport
