Job summary

An international engineering service provider is seeking a Management Accountant/Financial Analyst to streamline financial processes. The ideal candidate should have a tertiary qualification in Management Accounting, coupled with over 5 years of experience in accounting, CIMA certification, and expertise in ERP systems. Responsibilities include assisting with budget proposals, financial reporting, and cost analysis. Candidates must also have a valid driver's license and own vehicle.

Qualifications

  • Experience in project engineering, construction or renewable energy environment.
  • Valid driver's license and own car.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Operations stakeholders in building proposals, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Verify and control Cost of Sales, allocate according to project consumption.
  • Compute revenue and cost accruals, consolidate financial information.

Skills

Fluent in MS Office

Experience with multi-currency accounting

Job description

Our client, an international turnkey engineering and renewable energy service provider, is looking to add a Management Accountant/Financial Analyst to their esteemed team that will aid in the streamlining of financial processes.

PLEASE NOTE: We will be giving preference to candidates who have worked in a project engineering, construction or renewable energy environment and dealing with foreign currency transactions.


  • You must have a minimum of a tertiary qualification in Management Accounting, coupled with +5 years in accounting and/or management accounting as well as have 5+ years in ERP and multi-currency accounting – CIMA is essential
  • You must be fluent and advanced in MS Office, Access, ERP, Pastel, Xero, and SAP
  • You will be in charge of operational support which entails assisting Operations stakeholders in building proposals, budgets, and forecasts as well as offering ad-hoc support in regards to sourcing, costing, and pricing
  • You will be assisting in cost allocation which includes verifying and controlling Cost of Sales, allocating Cost of Sales according to project consumption, reconcile suspense accounts, and analyse cost trends
  • You must be able to do analysis and reporting which will include duties like computing revenue and cost accruals, consolidate financial information, analysing data, reporting, projects P&L, balance sheets, cash flow statement
  • You will be in charge of financial support which will entail budget work, quarterly forecasting, annual audit support, capex analysis, commercial analysis, and ad-hoc analysis
  • You must have a valid driver’s licence, own car and a clear criminal and credit record
