A client in the food manufacturing industry is looking to hire an experienced Cost Accountant based in Heidelberg. The successful candidate will manage daily costing calculations, maintain and update recipes, and provide variance analysis reports. A Bachelor of Commerce, costing experience, and strong Excel skills are essential. This role is crucial in ensuring accurate costing and budgeting processes within the company.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Commerce or equivalent with Costing experience.
  • Costing experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the meat industry.
  • Computer literate with very strong skills in Excel.
  • High level of confidentiality with regard to recipes.
  • Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily costing calculations of recipes.
  • Continuously maintain and update recipes and costings.
  • Submission and control of floor recipes to production.
  • Liaise with relevant personnel in obtaining information for recipes.
  • Maintain and update product master.
  • Provide and maintain barcode listing.
  • Check and update purchase price variances.
  • Control and update standard costs of all items and products.
  • Maintain costing model on Excel.
  • Analyze production variance reports relating to costing.
  • Prepare Cost of Goods Sold budget.
  • Provide reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis to management.
  • Observe production processes when required.

Our client in the Food Manufacturing / FMCG industry, is currently looking to employ an experienced Cost Accountant, based in Heidelberg.

Requirements :

  • Providing reports on a daily, weekly and monthly basis to management.
  • Go into production to observe production processes when required.
