About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Cost Accountant to contribute to their manufacturing operations in Kimberley. This role involves analyzing production costs, developing cost accounting systems, and providing critical data to support pricing, inventory valuation, and operational efficiency improvements. You will work closely with production and finance teams to ensure accurate cost tracking and reporting. This position offers a dynamic, hybrid work environment where your analytical skills will directly impact profitability and strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and analyze cost accounting systems and standards.
• Calculate and analyze cost of goods sold (COGS) and inventory valuation.
• Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and periodic forecasts related to production costs.
• Analyze variances between standard and actual costs, investigating and reporting on significant differences.
• Provide cost analysis for new product introductions and process improvements.
• Support inventory control and cycle counting processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 3-5 years of experience in cost accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and methods.
