A leading Mining company in Mooinooi is seeking a Cost Accountant to manage financial reporting, cost control, and inventory management. The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Finance and have 5-8 years of relevant experience, demonstrating strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

  • 5 - 8 years working experience in a similar field.
  • Experience in cost management and spares inventory control.
  • Able to work under pressure and forward thinking.

Responsibilities

  • Financial processing & reporting, including cost control and budgets.
  • Supervision, coaching, and mentoring of staff members.
  • Stock management and inventory control.

Job description

A leading Mining company based in Mooinooi, North-West is looking for a Cost Accountant to join their team of professionals.

Responsibilities:

  • Financial processing & reporting
  • Operation cost control & allocation
  • Preparing operational cost budgets
  • Cost reporting for operations
  • Asset register control
  • Operation purchasing & pricing control
  • Month end process
  • Work close with operations management and staff
  • Support to plant management and Financial Department
  • Stock Management
  • Implementation and control of spare inventory management system
  • Manage inventory
  • Ensure that Stock levels are adequate
  • Man age, control and organize inventory counts
  • Stock value control; General Housekeeping of warehouses
  • Supervision, coaching and mentoring of staff members

Requirements:
  • Grade 12 / Matric with accounting as a subject
  • Degree in Finance / Cost & Management Accounting
  • Post graduate qualification may be advantageous
  • 5 - 8 Years working experience in a similar field
  • Experience in cost management
  • Experience in spares inventory control
  • Must be an action orientated person
  • Analytical skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Communication Skills
  • Be able to work under pressure
  • Must be a result driven person and forward thinking
