Job summary

Dis-Chem Pharmacies requires a Cosmetic Manager for their Parow store to oversee cosmetic and beauty categories and drive sales through excellent customer service. The role includes staff scheduling, training, stock management, and maintaining compelling displays.

Essential experience includes at least 3 years in cosmetics/beauty retail, Grade 12, and supervision of around 7 staff. SAP and Qlikview are advantageous; a valid driver’s license and willingness to work retail hours are expected.

Qualifications

• Computer literate – MS Office.
• Willing and able to work retail hours.

Responsibilities

• Direct and support sales staff under guidance of Store Manager in line with Dis-Chem policies.
• Ensure Cosmetic Consultants are allocated appropriately to cosmetics/beauty sections.
• Provide relevant staff training and encourage feedback from customers and staff.
• Ensure the store is adequately staffed at all times on the floor.
• Manage stock control through planning and ordering with Dis-Chem warehouse.
• Address customer compliments and escalate unresolved complaints to Store Manager/Regional Cosmetic.
• Maintain merchandising and displays to high cleanliness and presentation standards.
• Oversee monthly promotions to achieve department targets.
• Keep up to date with product knowledge, brands and inventory.

Oversee effective promoting and selling of Dis-Chem cosmetic and beauty products through excellent and consistent customer service. Ensure staffs is on the floor to assist customers.

Minimum Requirements: Essential:

• Grade 12 / Matric
• A minimum of 3 years’ cosmetics or beauty experience within a retail environment
• Previous supervision and/management of a staff complement of around 7
• Computer literate – MS Office
• Willing and able to work retail hours

Advantageous:

• SAP experience
• Qlikview experience
