Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Corrosion Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in corrosion assessment and management within the oil and gas industry. Responsibilities include identifying corrosion sectors, assigning corrosion circuits, estimating corrosion rates, and reviewing process changes. Experience with CMP, CCCI, RBI, ILI, and corrosion coupon evaluations is essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Determine corrosion sectors from process flow diagrams (PFDs) and assign corrosion circuits from P&IDs.
  • Estimate corrosion rates for each piping corrosion circuit.
  • Assign Thickness Measurement Locations (TMLs) to corrosion circuits, ensuring their quantity and placement match the expected corrosion class.
  • Review corrosion rates exceeding 5 MPY for equipment with a remaining life less than twice the OSI, and take appropriate actions.
  • Assess the impact of process changes on the OSI program and adjust TMLs or intervals as needed.
  • Perform corrosion management activities including CMP, CCCI, RBI, ILI, and corrosion coupon evaluations.
  • Provide technical recommendations and conduct failure analysis for corrosion issues.
Minimum Job Requirements
  • Education: BS, MS, or PhD in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, or Corrosion Science.
  • Certifications:
  • AMPP / NACE Specialist Certification (any level)
  • AMPP / NACE Sr. Corrosion Technologist
  • AMPP / NACE Sr. Internal Corrosion Technologist
  • AMPP / NACE Corrosion Technologist
  • API 580 (Risk-Based Inspection)
  • API 571 (Damage Mechanisms Affecting Fixed Equipment)
  • AMPP / NACE Internal Corrosion Technologist
  • AMPP / NACE Basic Corrosion
  • AMPP / NACE CIP-2 (Cathodic Protection)
  • AMPP / NACE CP-2 (Corrosion Prevention)
  • Experience: Proven corrosion engineering experience, especially in oil and gas, process industries, and pipelines.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of corrosion assessment techniques including CMP, CCCI, RBI, ILI, and corrosion coupon evaluations.
  • Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and effective team collaboration skills.
