Key Accounts Manager (Vehicle Corporate Sales)

They are looking to fill a Key Accounts Manager: Corporate Sales position in Sandton, Johannesburg.

Job Role

To identify corporate sales opportunities and build long-term relationships with fleet companies, which yield incremental volume and share for the automotive brand.

To ensure, economically and according to needs, that dealers are assisted in the selling of vehicles to fleet owners.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Grow the car brand volume and share through corporate fleet sales.
  2. Formulate strategies to improve car brand product penetration of corporate fleets.
  3. Coordinate and manage a corporate sales contact programme for a portfolio of key accounts.
  4. Use the SAP CRM system and CRM processes to maintain and manage relevant and accurate data on clients.
  5. Utilize demonstration vehicles in marketing and promoting the car brand among corporate clients.
  6. Monitor and analyze competitor fleet activities and formulate recommendations.
  7. Negotiate with fleet owners to secure incremental vehicle sales.
  8. Participate in new product launch meetings.
  9. Advise and inform dealers and other divisions regarding corporate sales matters.
  10. Develop corporate sales policies with fleet owners, including guidelines for fleet packages.
  11. Analyze customer feedback and recommend changes to vehicle specifications, facilitating quick resolution of customer queries.
  12. Plan and coordinate regional corporate sales promotions.
  13. Evaluate sales results and determine further actions.
  14. Focus on dealer efforts in strategies, prospecting, staff development, CRM processes, marketing initiatives, client visits, and new business acquisition.
  15. Strengthen links between dealer networks and corporate customers to increase sales.
  16. Liaise with Regional Sales Managers to ensure sales targets are met.
  17. Handle relevant corporate sales projects to improve department operations.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills
  • A recognised Business Degree or National Diploma in Marketing or Retail.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in retail/automobile marketing.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in vehicle marketing and sales, with above-average product knowledge.
  • Strong strategic thinking and CRM understanding.
  • Proven negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Excellent selling, communication, presentation, planning, and organizing skills.
  • Attention to detail and good people skills are advantageous.
