JOB TITLE : Corporate Services Manager LOCATION : Johannesburg DURATION : Permanent Purpose of the Position To coordinate and manage the corporate business administration, support, enable operational departments to deliver high quality services to clients and ensures the organisation is well-resourced, compliant, efficient, and future-ready.
The Corporate Services Manager will provide day-to-day operational leadership across key support functions including Information Technology (IT), Human Resources (HR), Administration, Communications and Marketing, Bids and Tenders, and Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ).
The role ensures efficient service delivery, cross-departmental alignment, and effective support for the organisation's strategic goals.
Minimum Requirements & Experience
- Honours or Postgraduate Degree in Business Administration or related field (mandatory)
- At least 5 years' experience in a Corporate Services Manager or senior operations role
- Extensive knowledge of HR policies, labour law, and employee performance systems
- Proven track record in SHEQ compliance, auditing, and risk management (ISO : knowledge preferred)
- Advanced background in tendering, bids management, and RFP processes for public / private sectors
- Proven experience in managing multidisciplinary teams.
Core Responsibilities Leadership & Organizational Alignment
- Lead and integrate activities across Corporate Services departments to support strategic objectives.
- Support the development and implementation of operational strategies, policies, and systems across departments.
- Managing and allocating resources including budgeting for the Corporate Services division.
- Monitoring and evaluating the performance of the team, identifying areas of improvement and implementing corrective actions
- Implementing improvements based on performance data analysis.
- Systematically monitoring performance information and feedback mechanisms to inform continuous improvement in systems, processes, and resource management.
- Facilitating communication and collaboration between different departments withing the organization.
- Conduct meetings with each head of department to ensure free flow and smooth running of business admin services, adherence to the processes of the organization.
- Analyse internal customer experience feedback to establish levels of customer service and proactively determine areas of improvement and continuous improvements.
- Streamline existing process and workflows to enhance productively and Identify bottlenecks and implementing solutions to resolve operational issues.
- Implementing best practices to optimize efficiency across Corporate Services departments.
HR & People Development
- Provide oversight on talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, and organisational development.
- Promote a culture of continuous learning and organizational transformation SHEQ Oversight
- Ensure and enforce SHEQ compliance and audit-readiness in accordance with legal and ISO standards
- Coordinate internal / external audits, NCR processes, and continuous quality improvement initiatives Tendering & Compliance
- Overseeing bid team, processes to ensure that we still meet the yearly bid submission target.
- Maintain updated tendering policies, legal awareness, and accurate bid reporting Marketing & IT Support Integration
- Oversee corporate branding, align internal systems and marketing resources to reinforce the corporate brand and service delivery
- Align communication strategies with business goals and stakeholder expectations.
- Support IT governance and systems implementation to enhance organizational performance Administration & Reporting
- Ensure effective administrative systems and processes are in place to support operations.
- Ensure effective records management, facilities administration, and document control
- Prepare performance and departmental reports.
