Corporate Senior Lawyer – Johannesburg

Brief

Owing to a substantial pipeline of work and potential opportunities, we are looking to expand our transactional services team in Johannesburg by recruiting a corporate senior lawyer with 7+ years PQE. While this role will be based in Johannesburg, the successful candidate will be working with South African and international colleagues on corporate transactions across the continent.

We are looking for a technically excellent corporate lawyer with experience in corporate finance, M&A (domestic and cross-border), and private equity (beneficial, but not essential). The ideal candidate will have trained at a large South African or international firm and will have had exposure to top-tier corporate / M&A work. Experience in cross-border work would be beneficial but is not essential.

In addition to having excellent technical skills, candidates will be commercially aware, with a strong knowledge of corporate activity and trends in the South African and regional markets.
