Job description

Description : To enable GIA's strategy, a new operating model has been finalized.

A specific Executive role has been established to oversee CIB and AR for our client.

This role is currently vacant and being recruited for. In the interim, a senior resource is required to manage the team and deliverables, while providing strategic insights and industry best practices. Responsibilities include:

1. Overseeing and managing the CIB & AR portfolio and team, including engagement with senior stakeholders.
2. Reporting to Africa Regions Chief Internal Auditors (CIA's), who will provide strategic oversight.
3. Operational management of the subsidiary audit function.
4. Ensuring the audit plan is sufficient to fulfill GIA's duties.
5. Overseeing, managing, and reviewing audits, providing strategic insights throughout all phases.
6. Preparing and reviewing Cluster, Group, and Board reports as necessary.
7. Audits include markets, investment banking, and regulatory reviews (SAMOS & JIBAR).

Candidate requirements:

• At least 10 years of experience, with extensive expertise in CIB sectors such as Markets, Investment Banking, Property Finance, Transactional Services.
• Experience in banking industry with a focus on rapid change and innovation.
• Proven ability in executive and senior stakeholder engagement.
• Experience in audit and Board reporting, with strategic insights and industry perspective.
• Experience managing teams at all levels, with line management responsibilities.
