The role requires a legal background, at least 5 years in compliance, and strong risk management, communication and reporting skills.

Qualifications

• Admitted Attorney or equivalent legal qualification.
• 5+ years in compliance or regulatory affairs.
• In-depth knowledge of SA corporate governance and compliance regulations.
• Experience developing and implementing compliance policies and procedures.
• Strong understanding of risk management principles.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive corporate compliance programs.
• Monitor adherence to relevant laws, regulations (POPIA, King IV) and industry standards.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for compliance-related risks.
• Develop and deliver compliance training to employees at all levels.
• Investigate potential compliance breaches and recommend corrective actions.
