About the role

As we expand our social and editorial offering, we’re building a dedicated Content Squad to support a leading B2B foodservice brand with an international presence.

We’re looking for a Copywriter based in South Africa to join this new team, working in close collaboration with teams in the UK, Europe, and the Middle East. The primary goal of this role is to craft high-performing editorial, social, and CRM content that builds brand awareness and drives web traffic. Editorial excellence, SEO expertise, and an understanding of food industry audiences—especially in a B2B context—are essential.

This role offers the opportunity to contribute beyond pure copywriting, supporting content planning, brand voice development, and collaborative ideation across channels.

What you’ll do

  • Write SEO-optimised editorial content, as well as copy for social media and CRM, tailored to a B2B foodservice audience
  • Collaborate with the SEO, social, and creative teams to ensure content meets both performance goals and brand tone of voice
  • Support the content calendar and editorial planning in alignment with broader campaign priorities
  • Participate in creative ideation sessions and recommend content formats based on audience needs and trends
  • Liaise with subject matter experts (e.g. chefs, foodservice professionals) to inform content accuracy and relevance
  • Maintain high editorial standards, ensuring consistency, clarity, and on-brand storytelling across all channels
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and seasonal content opportunities relevant to the brand
  • Collaborate with content creators globally to pair strong written narratives with compelling visuals
  • Support documentation and refinement of tone of voice and editorial guidelines


About you

  • 2–3 years’ experience writing for digital platforms, with proven ability to create SEO-driven and social-first copy
  • Strong understanding of performance content and how to tailor it to different platforms and stages of the customer journey
  • Experience writing for food and B2B audiences, ideally within foodservice or hospitality sectors
  • Comfortable interviewing experts to inform long-form content or articles
  • Familiar with CRM/email copy, social content formats, and editorial best practices
  • Ability to write across multiple tones and subject matters while adhering to brand guidelines
  • Experience working across international markets is preferred
  • Knowledge of localisation or transcreation is a plus but not essential
