As a Copywriter, you’ll be the voice behind our player communication: creating engaging, on-brand content that keeps our audience coming back for more. From crafting compelling email campaigns to writing in-app messages, SMS, and promotional content, your words will be key in building strong player relationships and driving retention KPIs.
What you’ll be doing
As part of your role, your responsibilities will include:
Strategic Copy Creation
- Lead the creation of high-impact copy for multi-channel retention campaigns (email, push, SMS, in-app) tailored to the US audience.
- Write and edit a variety of formats including long-form content, product launches, lifecycle messaging, social media copy, and promotional communications.
- Develop content strategies that align with business goals and player engagement KPIs.
- Stay current with SEO trends, copy best practices, and iGaming tone of voice nuances in the US market.
Quality Assurance & Copy Review
- Own the QA process of all outbound content, ensuring brand alignment, accuracy, tone, and legal compliance.
- Provide constructive feedback and mentorship to copywriters and junior team members.
- Perform live content testing and verify content uploads across CRM and customer touchpoints (e.g., Salesforce, Optimove, etc.).
- Report and troubleshoot any content discrepancies post-rollout.
Coaching & Internal Development
- Mentor and train junior writers on brand voice, tone, formatting, and performance-based writing.
- Host workshops and review sessions to build team copywriting capability and consistency.
- Champion a high-performance writing culture within the department.
- Stakeholder Collaboration
- Liaise with key stakeholders including CRM team, designers, product owners, compliance teams, and US marketing leads to align on briefs and messaging strategies.
- Present content ideas and final deliverables to internal clients including senior stakeholders to ensure clarity and buy-in.
- Translate technical or promotional briefs into compelling player-facing narratives.
Process & Documentation
- Manage documentation of content-related processes, workflows, and quality checks.
- Own the content feedback and version control process.
- Ensure up-to-date templates, tone of voice guides, and internal documentation are available and accessible to the wider team.
System & Administrative Support
- Collaborate with CRM and development teams to manage content implementation and scheduling.
- Conduct ongoing testing of links, personalization, dynamic content, and deliverability across campaigns.
- Communicate updates and content rollout plans with clarity and consistency.
Ad Hoc & Office Initiatives
- Contribute to department-wide communications including internal presentations, company TV screens, and other creative initiatives.
- Participate in and sometimes lead office projects tied to engagement, communications, or knowledge-sharing.

Essential skills you’ll bring to the table
The necessary skills that we require for this role include:
- Ability to work a set schedule of 12pm - 8pm SAST (8 hour shift) to collaborate with the US Team.
- 3–5+ years of copywriting experience.
- Degree in relevant field of study.
- Proven track record of writing for the US market.
- Expertise in retention or lifecycle marketing, particularly CRM tools like Optimove, Salesforce, etc.
- Ability to write both creatively and strategically, with a strong grasp of segmentation and conversion tactics.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficient in MS Outlook, MS Word, and MS Excel.
- Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring high standards of quality in all outputs.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing environments and priorities, maintaining effectiveness in dynamic situations.
Desirable skills you’ve got up your sleeve
It would be great if you also have some of the following skills:
- Experience in the iGaming, sports betting, or digital entertainment industry preferred knowledge of US gambling regulations and compliance copy standards.
- Familiarity with A/B testing and copy performance analysis.
- Experience working in cross-continental marketing teams.
