Main job functions include:
- Receiving instructions from various banks to attend to the registration of mortgage bonds.
- Preparing transfer, bond, and related conveyancing documents independently.
- Contacting and liaising with clients, municipalities, SARS, managing agents, banks, and attorneys.
- Attending to the collection of costs from clients.
- Compiling and amending documents for lodgement and registration.
- Managing the deed's office process and the bank's processes to successfully register transactions.
- Handling all financial aspects of transactions, including final accounts.
- Preparing debit notes, credit notes, and addressing other accounting queries.
Qualifications:
- Matric / relevant paralegal qualification.
Criteria:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a conveyancing environment.
- Experienced paralegal with transfer and bond experience with FNB, Standard Bank, and Nedbank.
- Good command of English.
- Computer literate (MS Office Suite, including Excel).
- Ability to work independently and use initiative.
- Meticulous with attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize and handle pressure calmly.
- Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously.
- Typing speed of 45+ WPM.
- In-depth knowledge of the full spectrum of conveyancing transactions.
