Job description

We are seeking a Senior Secretary / Conveyancing Paralegal with over 7 years of experience attending to bonds to join our team. This role involves independently managing transactions from instruction to registration, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and client satisfaction.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  1. Inception: Acknowledge instruction, peruse and understand loan conditions, perform and interpret deeds office records, establish initial contact with the client and linked attorney, and open the file.
  2. Preparation of loan documents for client signature.
  3. Attending to transfers, land development applications, and preparing notarial deeds and servitudes.
  4. Preparing conveyancing documents such as applications, powers of attorney, waivers of preference, resolutions, and conveyancer’s certificates.
  5. Weekly reporting to clients, bankers, and agents; liaising with city councils, managing agents, and linked attorney firms as necessary.
  6. Preparing lodgement documents and coordinating lodgement arrangements.
  7. Ensuring all loan conditions are met for successful registration at the deeds registry within satisfactory turnaround times.
  8. Managing financial aspects of transactions, including final accounts, collecting costs/disbursements, and addressing general accounting queries.
