Job description

As a CRO Analyst, you’ll help enhance digital experiences and improve conversion rates across key touchpoints. Your role will involve analysing user behaviour, running A/B tests, and identifying opportunities to refine the customer journey. By collaborating with teams across UX/UI, SEO, data, and performance marketing, you'll contribute to smarter, data-driven optimisations that drive meaningful engagement.

Rather than simply increasing ad spend, Conversion Rate Optimisation focuses on maximising the value of existing traffic. You’ll translate qualitative and quantitative insights into actionable strategies—removing friction, improving user flows, and ultimately, driving more conversions.

If you thrive on turning insights into impact, enjoy testing and refining digital experiences, and want to work at the intersection of performance and user experience, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Turning Data into Action
    · Analyse user behaviour through GA4, heatmaps, and session recordings.
    · Track conversion funnels and identify points of drop-off.
    · Review competitor performance and industry trends to spot opportunities.
    · Assess key touchpoints (landing pages, checkout, forms) for usability issues.
    · Develop test hypotheses based on data and behavioral insights.

  2. Experimentation & Optimisation
    · Define test objectives, KPIs, and success metrics.
    · Prioritise hypotheses and structure/map relevant experimentations.
    · Work with UX/UI and design teams to develop new variations.
    · Implement and monitor tests through relevant CRO platforms.
    · Ensure proper tracking and measurement for performance analysis.

  3. Collaboration & Communication
    · Share insights and recommendations with internal teams and clients.
    · Align CRO findings with SEO, content, and campaign strategies.
    · Document key learnings and establish best-practice guidelines.
    · Continually refine optimisation strategies based on new data.

What We’re Looking For

  1. 3+ years of experience in digital marketing, analytics, UX and CRO.
  2. Matric with a relevant tertiary qualification (marketing-specific) are essential.
  3. Hands-on experience with A/B testing platforms.
  4. Strong understanding of GA4, heatmapping tools, and session recording software.
  5. Ability to interpret data, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations.
  6. Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (a plus, but not mandatory).
  7. Organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple projects.
  8. A problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to challenges.
  9. Strong communication skills, able to present insights in a clear, compelling way.
  10. A team player with a positive, collaborative attitude.
  11. The role is JHB-based, but CPT candidates will be considered.
