Job summary

Jendamark Automation in South Africa is seeking a Control Systems Engineer who will design, develop and commission world-class automated manufacturing systems, working with senior engineers on projects across SA and internationally.

The role offers a clear path to supervision, with opportunities to lead programming teams, mentor engineers, coordinate commissioning and drive improvements in engineering standards.

Qualifications

• National Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of industrial automation experience.
• Valid driver's licence.
• Willingness to travel locally and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Develop PLC, HMI and SCADA software.
• Design control philosophies and machine sequences.
• Configure industrial networks and fieldbus systems.
• Integrate robots, vision systems, motion control and measurement equipment.
• Test and commission equipment locally and internationally.
• Support customers during installation and ramp-up.
• Produce high-quality technical documentation.
• Work closely with Mechanical, Electrical and Software Engineering teams.
• Identify opportunities to improve software standards and engineering efficiency.
