PURPOSE

The Control Room Operator is accountable for supervision, control and coordination of all plant processes during the shift to ensure a seamless production effort and the achievement of production goals.

MINIMUM ROLE REQUIREMENTS

• Grade 12/Matric (or equivalent) with Maths, Physical Science and English.
• Minimum 2-3 years supervisory experience within a hydrometallurgical processing plant environment,
• Strong computer literacy with in-depth knowledge of SCADA systems.
• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of hydrometallurgical processes through Safe Operating Procedures assessments.
• Sound analytical and decision-making skills;
• Strong planning and organising skills coupled with attention to detail;
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work in a high stress production environment and deliver results.
• Proactive approach to problem solving and overall work.

• Safety, Health, Environment & Quality: Ensure compliance to SHEQ standards, regulations & practices
• Operations: Supervise, control and coordinate all NPP processing units, liaising with the production team throughout the shift
• Quality: Drive compliance to product specific quality
• People: Provide coaching and on-the-job training to shift team
• Stakeholder Liaising & Teamwork: Liaise with key stakeholders related to the organisation and coordination of work.
