Brinks South Africa is recruiting for a Control Room Operator.

Principal Accountabilities

1. Operate all equipment and cameras, ensuring compliance with security and operational control room procedures at all times.
2. Monitor view-screens effectively, taking remedial or immediate action and notifying relevant personnel as appropriate.
3. Communicate professionally and courteously with other departments and branches.
4. Record all events and actions clearly, legibly, and accurately, including on other media as required.
5. Maintain detailed records or evidential material in a clear and accurate format, including tape management records.
6. Maintain confidentiality and integrity of all information obtained within the control room.
7. Ensure all equipment is functioning correctly, perform checks as required, and report faults immediately.
8. Maintain the security of the control room and equipment, including managing access control for visitors.
