Job summary

Standard Bank Group is seeking a risk-focused professional to provide Control Assurance views for Exchange Control across CIB operations. The role involves developing automated or AI-assisted monitoring for key controls and contributing to risk mitigation through standard reviews, IBAM, RCAs and RMLC.

A degree in Audit/Risk Management with 5–7 years’ Operations experience is required. Proficiency in Excel, PowerBI and Power Automate, and knowledge of GMO/IPSS/TPSO products, will be essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Audit or Risk Management, with relevant professional exposure.
• Exchange Control knowledge with proficient application.
• Experience in junior to middle management within Operations business lines and knowledge of GMO/IPSS/TPSO products.
• Proven ability to manage a small team and participate in MANCO attendance.
• Proficient in Excel, PowerBI and Power Automate; strong banking system dependencies knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders across CIB operations to provide Control Assurance views for Exchange Control, manual or automated.
• Develop and implement automated or AI-assisted Control Assurance monitoring for key controls.
• Cover activities from standard Control Reviews to IBAM, RCAs and RMLC to mitigate risk.

Partner and support stakeholders across CIB operations by providing Control Assurance views for Exchange Control, either manual or automated, as well as developing and implementing automated or AI assisted Control Assurance monitoring for key controls ranging from standard Control Reviews, to IBAM, RCAs and RMLC to effectively manage and mitigate risk within the Control Environment.
