Job summary

A well-established construction company is seeking a Contracts Manager / Senior Site Agent specializing in civil concrete projects. The successful candidate will manage high-scale projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards while overseeing financial planning and resource optimization. A degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management and over 10 years of relevant experience are required. Contracts Manager / Senior Site Agent (Civil Concrete Projects)

Qualifications and Work Experience:

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in managing complex construction contracts.
  • Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advanced knowledge of Civil Concrete Projects: expertise in concrete mix designs, structural reinforcement, formwork systems, and concrete curing processes.
  • Leading and managing large-scale concrete construction projects, ensuring compliance with design specifications and industry standards.
  • Strategic and tactical contract management, including FIDIC, NEC, and bespoke contracts.
  • Overseeing the implementation of innovative concrete technologies and sustainable practices.
  • Planning and optimizing resources for high-efficiency concrete pouring, casting, and finishing operations.
  • Financial planning, cash flow management, and cost control to meet project targets.
  • Building and maintaining strong client, consultant, and supplier relationships.
  • Ensuring quality control, defect prevention, and ISO compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Mentoring and empowering teams to foster a culture of accountability and excellence.

Additional Requirements:

  • Registration as a Construction Manager (SACPCMP).
  • Willingness to relocate / travel for unspecified periods.

  • Ability to speak, read, and write in English (fluency in an additional official African language is advantageous).
