Overview

Job Purpose

ICE Mortgage Technology, Inc. (an Intercontinental Exchange company) is seeking a Contracts Administrator to join the Data & Analytics Legal Team to support a wide range of legal matters including legal research, contract negotiations, and legislative tracking and analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Negotiate bespoke data license agreements supporting the data acquisition and operations business unit (primarily vendor agreements and government agency website reviews).
  • Research and track proposed and existing state and federal legislation governing data privacy and operations practices.
  • Dispute and litigation support including working with business units to manage data suppression requests.
  • Correspond with government agencies regarding a variety of data acquisition issues, including access, permitted use and required fees.
  • Compile and maintain databases to track data use rights and restrictions.
  • Collaborate closely with data acquisition and operations, client support and compliance teams to improve process efficiency.
  • Identify and mitigate risks impacting data products and services.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Paralegal certification preferred
  • 2+ years of experience working in an in-house legal department preferred.
  • Understanding of contracts law, legal terminology, legislative process and regulations relevant to data products and services preferred.
  • Experience in data licensing and contract negotiations preferred.
  • Experience working across departments and teams including business, sales, operations, and compliance.
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to effectively communicate in oral and written form.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, take initiative and to adapt effectively in frequently changing working environments.
  • A strong work ethic and desire to learn business requirements quickly, analyze legal and business risks and propose creative, business-oriented solutions.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
