A leading company is seeking a Contract Administrator to coordinate and oversee site-specific procurement contracts, focusing on maximising value through effective contract management. The successful candidate will be equipped to manage lifecycle milestones, enforce compliance, and conduct negotiations while demonstrating strong stakeholder relationships. Candidates with experience in the mining industry will have a distinct advantage.
This role is to coordinate and administer the company's groups site-specific procurement contracts to improve contract coverage and automation, whilst maximising value creation through the realisation of commercial savings for the organisation.
This includes :
Proactively managing the contract lifecycle milestones for a portfolio of site-specific contracts
Managing suppliers compliance to contractual terms and conditions
Ensuring successful implementation of all contracts at site, through liaison with all stakeholders
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :
Managing site contracts in conjunction with all relevant stakeholders
In conjunction with internal stakeholders, ensuring that organisational governance requirements are met in drafted contract
Negotiating, concluding, and administering contracts throughout
their lifecycle
Evaluating contractual terms and condition and providing recommendations to the team
Proactively managing contract lifecycle milestones for site specific contracts
Evaluating contract stipulations and providing recommendations
Communicating and ensuring adherence to contractual rights and obligations
Recording and monitoring contract compliance and renewal applications
Investigating the need for contract extensions and implement accordingly
Manage the termination of contractual relationship upon contract expiration or completion if required
Obtaining approval for relevant contracts documentation in line with the groups governance requirements and Delegation of Authority as defined in the companys approval framework
Safekeeping and retention of contractual documentation in accordance with the groups standards procedures and policies
Managing the end-to-end contract management process
Developing and implementing contract coverage and automation project plans
Developing, socialising, and implementing contracting strategies for site specific contracts
Communicating and ensuring adherence to contractual rights and
obligations by all parties
Contributing to supplier development through implementation of ESD strategies
Identifying opportunities for cost savings through negotiated volume
discounts; and product substitution, where possible
Actively participating in organisation planning as it relates to site procurement activities
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS :
Contract Management
Execution and implementation of contracts at site
Coordination of contract life-cycle administration processes
Contracts compliance monitoring
Coordination contracts spend optimisation and automation processes
Ensuring compliance to the groups contract management policies and procedures
Relationship Management
Actively managing supplier performance through KPIs that are specified in the contractual agreement
Managing internal and external stakeholders relations
Provision of the guidelines by which the team engages suppliers
Conflict management
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
At least 4 years of relevant experience in areas of sourcing, contract lifecycle management, procurement, commodity management and supplier relationship management
EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES :
Experience in market and commodity research and techniques and a general understanding of contracts
Experience with driving value creation and category management savings
Experience with relevant software : SAP, MS suite and database management
Experience with using source to pay technology digital tools is preferred
Mining industry experience is preferred and will be an advantage
