Job summary

A leading company is seeking an Inventory Manager in Johannesburg to support Accessories Procurement Operations. The role entails maintaining supply chain performance and managing various logistics metrics. Ideal candidates will have substantial experience in logistics, excellent communication, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of relevant experience within manufacturing, retail, automotive or logistics.
  • PC Literacy: MS Office – intermediate to advanced level, especially Excel.
  • Experience in Inventory & Transport Management Systems is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain Allocation fill rate and forecast performance.
  • Manage Due Delivery performance and Supply Chain performance.
  • Assist in kaizen projects and provide operational support.

Job description

To assist the Accessories Procurement Operations performing kaizen projects and providing operational support to improve the overall Postproduction Operations and supplier logistics performance

POSITION INFO : Period :

  • 12 months Contract

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS :

  • Maintain Allocation fill rate
  • Manage forecast performance
  • Manage Due Delivery performance
  • Supply Chain performance
  • Project Management

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED :

  • NQF level 6 Qualification in any Engineering / Logistics / Supply chain management / Commercial discipline
  • Preferably above 5 yrs experience relevant experience within manufacturing, retail, automotive or logistics / transportation
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) across various stakeholders
  • PC Literacy : MS office – intermediate to advanced level (Excel)
  • SAP experience will be advantageous
  • Inventory & transport management system experience will be advantageous
  • Must have own transport and willing to travel – Locally.
  • Office based out of 2 locations in Gauteng – need to alternate between both sites.
