Job summary
A healthcare recruitment firm in Durban is seeking a registered Professional Nurse and Midwife with a postgraduate qualification in Nursing Education. Qualifications
- Registered with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse and Midwife.
- Minimum 3 years post-graduate clinical nursing experience.
- At least 2 years experience in a Private Hospital setting.
- ICU experience preferred.
- Valid drivers license and own transport is essential.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate orientation, induction, and training of temp nursing staff.
- Ensure clinical competence and readiness of nursing personnel.
- Collaborate with Nurse and Unit Managers to assess training needs and implement solutions.
- Monitor staff conduct, manage incidents, and support performance management processes.
- Maintain up-to-date staff training records and assist with database administration.
- Attend clinical meetings and stay informed on industry trends and compliance.
- Support staff through mentorship and professional development.
- Apply understanding of labour legislation, including the Basic Conditions of Employment Act.
