Job summary

Unitrans is seeking a Contract Manager I to oversee creation, negotiation, execution and maintenance of contracts within our distribution network in Johannesburg.

This role focuses on efficient administration of depots/warehouses, inventory, storage, despatch and transport from factories to final delivery, ensuring the right quantity, quality, time and condition to meet service levels.

The successful candidate will drive process improvements and ensure cost-effective operations across logistics.

Responsibilities

• Manage administration covering inventory, storage, despatch and transportation from factories to final delivery.
• Aim for optimum cost while meeting customers' service needs and ensuring compliance.

An opportunity has arisen for a high calibre Contract Manager I to manage financial and administration requirements. Contract management involves overseeing the creation, negotiation, execution, and maintenance of contracts between parties, typically within a business or organizational setting. Responsible for the efficient, competitive and commercially viable operation and administration of the company's distribution depots/warehouses. Responsible for all administration handling,inentory, storage, despatch and transportation of goods after receipt from the factories to the point of final delivery, in the correct quantity, quality, time and condition, as per the sales orders. This is to be achieved at optimum cost in order to ensure the best return for the company by continually meeting customers service needs.
