A dynamic marketing firm is looking for a skilled Content Writer & Marketing Assistant to work remotely from South Africa. This role involves writing and optimizing blog posts, managing newsletters, and contributing to marketing tasks. Ideal candidates will have strong English skills, experience with AI and SEO tools, and must be able to work US Eastern Time. Competitive compensation is offered.
Job Title: Content Writer & Marketing Assistant
Location: South Africa (Remote)
Type: Full-Time Contractor (40 hours/week)
Work Hours: Monday -Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM Eastern Time (with 1-hour break)
Write and optimize 30+ blog posts per month using AI tools (ChatGPT, Surfer SEO)
Create 12+ editions of our Lean Leverage newsletter
Suggest SEO-driven content ideas using keyword tools
Report on newsletter performance
Upload Facebook ads and support basic marketing tasks (e.g., updating Trello/Notion, CMS uploads)
Must be based in South Africa
Must be able to work US Eastern Time (8 AM -5 PM)
Strong written English (especially for B2B content)
Experience using AI tools like ChatGPT and SEO tools like Surfer
Reliable, organized, and able to meet deadlines independently
Canva or design basics
Notion, Trello, Airtable, CMS
Meta Ads Manager or Google Search Console
