Job summary

Tourvest DMC, a division of Tourvest Destination Management, is seeking a meticulous Data Capture professional in Johannesburg. You will capture rates and policies, load agents, suppliers and guides, and ensure data accuracy and timely updates.

The role requires Matric and ~2 years in data administration, with Tourplan experience preferred. You will collaborate across teams, meet deadlines, and support continuous data knowledge growth.

Qualifications

• Matric/Grade 12 is required.
• 2 years’ experience within data administration.
• Tourplan experience would be preferred.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

• Capture Rates & Policies data.

Job description

To effectively capture data in line with set company requirements, quality and standards, whilst handling all relative queries and communications, and to maintain accurate and timeous capture of data into the Tourplan system.

Responsibilities

DATA CAPTURE:

• Capture of Rates & Policies
• Checking of rates and policies
• Loading of all agents
• Loading of all suppliers
• Loading of Guides

QUALITY CONTROL:

• Always ensure a high percentage of accuracy within the database
• Always ensure timeous capture of data is achieved
• Record keeping as per departmental procedures

RATE QUERIES:

• Maintain supporting documentation for rate loading
• Basic Business unit Support

TEAM WORK:

• To build and maintain good relationships within the team
• Build relationships and support all business units within Tourvest Destination Management
• Pro-actively get involved and help with office overflow where needed
• Flexibility to assist colleagues out of normal office hours, when and if required

SUPPLIER RELATIONSHIPS:

• Understanding supplier products and contracts
• Develop knowledge on destinations and products

PROJECTS:

• Deliver in terms of deadlines and measurements set out in any specific projects

SERVICE LEVELS:

• Timeously, enthusiastically and efficiently dealing with any Tourvest Destination Management Brand queries
• Meeting project planner deadline as per assigned business unit

LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT:

• Continuously develop rates, data and product knowledge
• Keep abreast of industry trends
• Attend all internal training interventions

Qualifications and Expertise

• Matric/Grade 12
• 2 years’ experience within data administration
• Tourplan experience would be preferred
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Software, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint

The salary for this position is competitive and dependent on relevant experience.
