Requirements
- A minimum of Grade 12 Qualification.
- Sound knowledge and understanding of the Medical Aid Industry (New Business and Underwriting).
- A tertiary qualification would be desirable.
- Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Effective telephone, business communication, writing and administration skills.
- Must be a strong team player and be able to work under pressure.
- Computer literacy and exposure to Medical Administration system.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Capture new members'/dependants' details on the administration system using application forms to register new members and dependants.
- Maintain and update SLA on the business register daily.
- Quality check and activate new member applications, including online applications and adding dependents.
- Follow up on new member applications in all statuses.
- Respond promptly and effectively to calls, correspondence, and inquiries, resolving issues efficiently.
- Assist with ad-hoc tasks for New Business.
- Provide professional and quality service to Members, Brokers, and clients.
- Conduct welcome calls to new members to confirm their information and welcome them to the scheme.
- Stay informed about market changes and trends, integrating them into underwriting standards and procedures where appropriate.
