Job summary

Calibrate People in Cape Town, SA, seeks a Project Manager to lead insurance and investment projects. You’ll juggle timelines, manage stakeholders, and drive on-budget delivery in a hybrid setup.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in insurance/investments, a mathematics/statistics/actuarial or accounting degree, and hands-on PM tool experience (MS Project, JIRA, Confluence). Agile or Prince2 exposure preferred. Strong communication with leadership and risk awareness are essential.

Qualifications

• A degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, or Accounting (bonus points for postgrad qualifications such as FRM and/or CFA!).
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in the Insurance and Investments universe think life, general insurance, investments, wealth, and pensions.
• Bonus points if you've battled through the consulting realm before experience there is pure gold!
• Tech-Savvy: Mastery of project management tools like MS Project, JIRA, and Confluence.
• Oh, and if you speak the language of SAS, SQL, Python, and their programming pals that's a huge advantage.
• Methodology Maven: Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall you speak their language and know how to use their magic.
• Certifications: Extra kudos for PRINCE2, PMBOK, MSP, or Agile training the more letters after your name, the better!
