Job Description

Responsibilities of the successful candidate will include:

1. Business requirements gathering and drafting of relevant specifications
2. Design and implement customizations and extensions to vendor or in-house systems
3. Valuation, design, and implementation of new market instruments on relevant systems from Front-Office to Back-Office
4. Process design and implementation
5. Analytical ability to diagnose, problem-solve, and suggest resolutions of issues
6. Optimizations and enhancements of current systems
7. Daily business application support when required
8. Vendor system upgrades - analysis, problem finding, solution building, test procedures, etc.
9. Compilation of support documentation upon completion of specific implementations

Skill Set

• Maths, Computer Science, and Engineering degrees preferred: Honours or Masters beneficial. CFA, CA, FRM beneficial. Outstanding academic credentials essential.
• 3 to 7 years' experience within the Corporate and Investment Banking environment and/or similar industry experience.
• Exposure to leading trading platforms preferred: Calypso, Front Arena, Murex, Summit, Wall Street, Algorithmix, Adaptiv, Openlink.
• Relevant financial services and/or specific industry experience.
• Desire to work in a Professional Services environment as a Consultant.
• Proven track record of delivering services in a high-paced environment.
• A sound grasp of financial analysis, modeling, and valuation techniques.
• Excellent writing and presentation skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and collaborative writing style.
• Demonstrates strong relationships with top and mid-management.
• A track record of consistently producing excellent results under pressure.
