Job summary

A leading financial services provider in Johannesburg is seeking an Asset Management Consultant. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance during auctions and managing post-auction administration. The role requires strong relationship management skills and experience in collections and recoveries. A certificate in Credit Management or Banking Services is preferred. This is a permanent office-based position.

Qualifications

  • 2 to 5 years collections and recoveries experience is required.
  • 1 to 2 years Asset Management auction/sales experience preferable.
  • Certificate in Credit Management or Banking Services is preferred.

Job Purpose

We are looking for an Asset Management Consultant to play a vital role on the auction day to make sure the buyer’s needs, and the Banks requirements are complied with, as well as managing the post auction administration.

Job Responsibilities
  • Taking responsibility for client satisfaction and loyalty by effectively meeting specific client needs and developing and maintaining productive client relationships.
  • The ability to listen to and to verbally express ideas or facts in a manner which is transparent, consistent, fluent, with conviction and holds the attention of the audience both in a group and individually.
  • Adjust language and terminology to the profile and the needs of the listener(s).
  • The ability to schedule and co-ordinate activities (self and/or others) and identify the appropriate resources to perform these activities within a specific time frame in order to achieve business objectives.
  • Developing and using collaborative relationships to facilitate the accomplishment of work goals.
  • The ability to resolve disagreement in a way that is appropriate to the situation, dealing effectively with others in an antagonistic situation; using appropriate interpersonal styles and methods to reduce tension or conflict between two or more people.
  • Problem Solving - The ability to identify and define a problem with a view to select the most appropriate course of action once alternatives have been generated and assessed in terms of practicality, effectiveness, and implications thoroughly and accurately.
  • The ability to perceive correctly and in visual detail; to notice and remember visual details.
Essential Qualifications - NQF Level
  • Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate
Minimum Experience Level

Minimum 2 to 5 years collections and recoveries experience

At least 1 to 2 years Asset Management auction / sales experience preferable

Certificate: Credit Management
Banking Services (example, Higher Certificate in Banking Services - NQF5)
