Job summary

Mainstream Renewable Power in Kroonstad, Free State, seeks an experienced Construction Site Manager to lead site activities, coordinate EPC and GCW contractors, and ensure safety and quality during construction and commissioning. You will liaise with landowners and stakeholders to inform on activities and hand over facilities to assets teams after commissioning.

The role requires an engineering degree or diploma, 5 years of relevant construction experience (renewables preferred), fluent English,

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Engineering (electrical, mechanical or civil).
• 5 years Civil/Electrical engineering construction experience; renewable energy experience is a plus.
• Candidate must be fluent in English; additional languages advantageous.
• Ability to manage interfaces with Operations, HSE, Security and Community Relations.
• Strong project management skills: contract management, scheduling, planning and financial control.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Capable of managing internal and external resources.

Responsibilities

• Oversee EPC contractor site activities during construction and commissioning.
• Coordinate site activities between EPC and GCW contractors.
• Ensure compliance with Employer’s Requirements (ERs).
• Report site progress vs approved schedule; drive on-time completion.
• Attend daily meetings with project teams and manage NCRs.
